Irene Greathouse is the principal of Prien Lake Elementary School she is a native of Lake Charles but began her teaching career in the Aldine Independent School District in Houston, Texas. After working in schools in Houston and New Orleans, she returned to Lake Charles to teach at Nelson Elementary School. She served as assistant principal at Prien Lake  for 3 years before becoming the Principal in 1998. Mrs. Greathouse is a member of professional organizations at the national, state, and local level. She welcomes everyone to visit our website and become familiar with our school.
